     The department was founded in 2005 in order to prepare skilled specialists in information technologies for the transport industry of Ukraine.

     The department trains bachelors, specialists and master's in specialism "Informative management systems and technologies» with professional focus on “Computer Science".

     The department has a large scientific and pedagogical potential. As of September 1st, 20011:

• Six employees have Doctor of Science degree;
• Six employees have the academic rank of professor;
• Thirteen employees have Candidate of Science degree;
• Five employees have the academic rank of associate professor;
• One Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Professor Kubenko V.D.);
• Three Laureate of the State prize of Ukraine in the area of SciTech (Professors Baranov G.L., Byelyayevskiy L.S., Kubenko V.D.);
• Two Laureates of registered awards in science and technology (Professor Kubenko V.D. - winner of the Nikolai Ostrovsky Republican Prize in Science and Technology, Academician O.M. Dynnyk Award of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine; Professor Byelyayevskyy L.S. - winner of Zhukovski Prize);
• Three Honored Workers of SciTech of Ukraine (Professors Baranov G.L., Byelyayevskiy L.S., Kubenko V.D.);
