The Department of Management

Head of the department – Bidnyak Mykhailo Nesterovych, Doctor of Science in Technology, Professor, Honored Employee of Transport of Ukraine.

      Department of Management trains students in the major field of “Management” with specialization in “Organizational Management”, “ Transport Management and Logistics”, “Management in Auto Service Center Systems” and also in specialty“ Tourism”.

     The history of the department began at the end of 70s.The department of “Organization and Management” was founded in 1976.It had been renamed several times before 1995 when it got its name of “Management and Enterprising” and began to graduate students in specializm “Organizational Management”. During its lifetime the Department has trained more than 1000 specialists in management. Bachelors, specialists and Masters are trained in accordance with national standards of education in their area of specialization.

     During lifetime of the Department Head of the Department is Bidnyak Mykhailo Nesterovych, Doctor of Science in Technology, Professor, Honored Employee of Transport.

     Well- qualified academic staff includes 3 Doctors of Science, 4 Professors, 21 Candidates of Science- Associate Professors, 3 senior lecturers, 15 assistants.

     45 courses are taught at professional level. The main courses are ; Management’ , ‘Essentials of Business’, ‘Enterprise Socio- Economic Activity Planning”,:” Enterprise Organization ”, “Strategic Management”,” Expert Evaluation in Management ”,” Innovative Management”, “Management Culture ”, “Projects Management”, “ Complex Management of Efficiency and Quality» and also a number of professionally oriented courses approved by the University Academic Board: “ Modern Problems of Management Theory and Practice»,» Modern Computer Technologies” , ” Research Methods ”.

     Seven academics of the department supervise postgraduate studies in economics; organization, planning and management of enterprise.

Boyko Ganna Fedorivna - Associate Professor of the department, Candidate of Science in Economics. Key research interests: workforce allocation.

     Students have their work placement at motor transport and motor service enterprises as well as at travel agencies .

     Prominent specialists of transport organizations, institutes and academies of science of Ukraine are regularly invited to meetings, discussions and seminars.

     Students annually participate in international contests of students’ research papers and university conferences, under the supervision of the department academics write scientific papers which are published in the University digest and other Ukrainian publications and are implemented into production.
