     The Chair of Transport Law, System Analysis and Logistics was established in 1998. Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Levkovets P.R. has been changeless head of the Chair since 2000 to 2009.

Honored Scientist of Ukraine, Winner of State Prize of Ukraine in Science and Engineering, Academician of the Transport Academy of Ukraine and Academy of Transport of the Russian Federation, Honored Worker of Transport of Ukraine, awarded with a medal of Peter Graves.

     P. R. Levkovets - author of more than 200 scientific papers, manuals and textbooks, trained 27 candidates and 3 doctors.

     The chair of transport law, systems analysis and logistics graduates of the bachelors in the direction of 6.030601 "Management”, professional direction " Logistics "and the direction of 6.03040"Law "professional direction " Law "as well as experts and masters with specialties "Logistics" and "Law".

     Scientific and educational staff is prepared in the chair in the following specialties: 05.13.22 - project management and program, 05.22.01 - transport systems.; 08.00.04 - economics and management companies (road transport and road construction).

     Main areas of research of the chair of transport law, systems analysis and logistics:

     "Theoretical bases and methodological principles of designing logistics systems for transport" - Prof. Levkovets P.R.;

     "The theoretical basis and methods of sustainable management systems, logistics services in the supply chain" – Prof. Vorkut T.A.;

     "Methods and models of assessment for urban passenger routes and development of automated complex for their accounting"- Associate Prof. Marunich V.S .

     The chair operates with a complex of laboratories: laboratory of project management, systems analysis and logistics, and research laboratory of criminalistics and transport law.

     Laboratory of project management, systems analysis and logistics, equipped with modern computers, which is connected to the Internet. It has modern software, that allows full range of research and effectively carry out the educational process. In particular, using specialized software to study the transport systems and modelling.

     Educational laboratory of criminology and transport law designed for laboratory work in disciplines "Criminalistics", "Forensic medicine and psychiatry". Criminalistics laboratory has equipment, such as suitcases for an investigator, prosecutor and Forensic workers and other specialized equipment, training tables for visual learning students selected topics for their further application in practice.

     In 2005 long-term research of the creative team, headed by the rector of the National Transport University, prof. Dmitrichenko M.F., in the sphere of development and application of new technologies in logistics, navigation support moving transport facilities, optimize traffic flow for local and international destination, taking into account the complex interaction of different modes of transport, was awarded the State Prize of Ukraine in the field science and technology.

     Chair of Transport Law, System Analysis and Logistics cooperates with authorities, government agencies and departments, research institutes, transport companies and road construction. At various times, teachers of the chair carried out researches and teaching development for such institutions as the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Ukraine, State Enterprise "Service of the International Road Transport", the Department of Transport and Communications of the Kiev City Administration, Kievpastrans, derzhautotransNDIproect, DerzhNDI "Dipromisto", World Bank Institute (USA), International School of Business at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, Ukrainian Society of Appraisers, London Business School (UK), the State Property Fund of Ukraine, Grant McEwan College (Canada ), the first professional association of management of supply chains, to 2005 - the Council of Logistics Management (USA).

     In 2006-2009 Prof. Vorkut T.A., Prof. Grysyuk Y.S., As.Prof. Gorbenko O.V. took part in the project TEMPUS «Network development training courses in management in the field of transport and logistics in Ukraine. This project was implemented by the National Transport University, in collaboration with the University of Paderborn (Germany), University of Vienna (Austria) and other institutions funded by the European Commission.
