      The head of the department - Aristova Alla Vadimovna, doctor of philosophical sciences, professor; author and co-author of 115 scientific and educational and methodological works. A sphere of her scientific interests is religious studies, sociology and conflictology of religion, social and religious processes in the modern world.



     As independent subsection, the Department of philosophy and pedagogic operates from November, 1964, although its origins date back to the beginnings of foundation and activity of the Kiev Automobile and Road Institute (1944).

     For half a century of Department’ existence, together with the structural reorganization of the Institute, there are repeatedly changed the name of the department, its teaching staff, list of educational disciplines, work assignments, popularity among the students and employees also. But always Department staff was made by high-erudite, energetic, creative, talented people, who get years and decades of their lives to the research activity, improving of teaching skills, education of students.

     The academic staff of the department:

     Sinyakov Sergey is a professor of department, doctor of philosophical sciences, professor. A sphere of his scientific interests is logic and methodology of science, philosophy of management.

     Bakhtiyarova Halidahon is a professor of department, candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor. A sphere of her scientific interests is high school education, fundamental problems of vocational education.

     Lipich Ljudmila is an associate professor of department, candidate of philosophical sciences, associate professor. A sphere of her scientific interests is sociology of education, sociology of personality.

     Starovoit Svitlana is an associate professor of department, candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor. A sphere of her scientific interests is training and professional education and areas of their development under current circumstances.

     Dobronosova Yulia is an associate professor of department, candidate of philosophical sciences, associate professor. A sphere of her scientific interests is philosophy of art, modern philosophy.

     Tsypko Victoria is an associate professor of department, candidate of pedagogical sciences, senior researcher. A sphere of her scientific interests is theory and methods of teaching social sciences.

     Zaika Nicholas is an associate professor of department. A sphere of his scientific interests is political elites and political leadership.

     Kozhedub Olena is an associate professor of department, candidate of sociological sciences. A sphere of her scientific interests is sociology of education, history of pedagogy.

     Volobueva Svitlana is an associate professor of department. A sphere of her scientific interests is; scientific and applied psychology and practical psychology.

     Urenova Svitlana is a senior teacher of department. A sphere of her scientific interests is political theory and political psychology.

     Rybakova Larisa is a senior teacher of department. A sphere of her scientific interests is history of domestic philosophy.

     Lavrinovich Olena is a senior teacher of department. A sphere of her scientific interests is theory of law, political psychology.

     Yurchenko Eduard is an assistant of department. A sphere of his scientific interests is philosophy of traditionalism and post-traditionalism, post-nonclassical philosophy.

     Klimenko Marina is an assistant of department. A sphere of her scientific interests is pedagogical psychology.

     Teplyakova Lesia is an assistant of department. A sphere of her scientific interests is ethics of business communication.

     Seredina Inna is a manager of teaching laboratory.

     At present most of teachers of Department are graduating students of the philosophical faculty of T. Shevchenko Kiev National University, which in itself is evidence of extensive basic training, involvement in the glorious traditions of domestic philosophical school.

     Within the Department are 2 sections – section of philosophical subjects and section of psychological and pedagogical courses. Since 2007, the Department became the graduating one for the specialists in «Professional education. (Operation and repair of local and motor transport)». Most talented graduates continue their studies in graduate school, extending the staff of the leading departments of NTU.

     The complex of socio-philosophical and pedagogical subjects taught in all university faculties and also to the students of the Institute of Correspondence and Distance Education and the Institute of Economy and Business in the Transport Sector.

     Department of Philosophy and pedagogy provides teaching of 28 educational disciplines:

     21) Introduction to the scientific and pedagogical research;

     There are implemented training complexes for all disciplines developed under the requirements of credit-modular system of educational process.

     The focus of teachers – not only the systematic updating and modernizing the traditional high school philosophy courses, but also the development of special courses related to social, psychological and educational problems of engineering.

     During the years 2006-2010, the Department staff working on research related to: "Social, philosophical and humanitarian aspects of the engineering activities." The purpose of this study is to analyze the social and cultural content of engineering, value of professional technical culture as a factor in the development of civilization and civilization security mechanisms.

     From 2011 the Department staff assumed new promising research topic: “Philosophical dimensions of education and modern technology of educational activities”. Research findings are published systematically in scientific journals, magazines and collections, approved in the reports on regional, national and international conferences and in the process of common research with students. The results are the basis for developing new curricula for specialty “Professional education. (Operation and repair of local and motor transport)”, put into effect from 2010/2011 teach. year, is widely used in the course and diploma projects, research work with masters.

     Over the past four years, the staff published 4 textbooks, 72 scientific articles, 27 teaching texts. During 2008-2011 members of the Department participated in 32 International conferences (including in Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy), as well as nationwide and regional conferences, scientific seminars and round tables.

     The Department carries a large amount of work with graduate students and provides the professional training within the program of candidate exams in Philosophy.

     Now the Department has changed its appearance – it is more of a comfortable modern office, with adequate working conditions for teachers and students.
