Department of Physics

Head of Department – Gololobov Yurij Pavlovich, Doctor of Science in Physics and Mathematics, Professor.

The department of physics was created in 1944 year. From 1944 to 1946 year its first chief was a doctor of physical and mathematical sciences, professor Gertcriken Solomon Davydovich. Scientific interests of Gertcriken S.D. were connected with X-ray investigations of diffusion in metals, alloys, liquids.

From 1946 to 1960 year the chief of physics department was doctor of sciences, professor Danylenko Arsenij Ivanovich. His sientific reaserch was devoted to theme: “Natural activity of plants, animals and peoples”. The method of Danylenko for determination of radio-activity in biological objects is used just now.

From 1961 to 1978 year the department of physics was headed by the candidate of physical and mathematical sciences Bilenko Ivan Ivanovich. Bilenko I.I. was a remarkable methodologist, a member of methodical advice of Department of higher and middle education of Ukraine, compiled “Physical dictionary” which was reprinted the last time in 1993 year. At that time the physics department provided scientific researches for three directions: “Molecular dispersion of light in liquids”, “Physical properties of semiconductors” and “Improvement of teaching of physics in the higher educational institute”.

From 1978 to 1983 year the department of physics was headed by candidate of physical and mathematical sciences Turchaninova Emilia Vasylivna, who pointed attention at strengthening of creative collective of department.

From 1983 to 1987 year the physics department was heeded by the candidate of physical and mathematical sciences Ermolovich Yurij Borisovich, who made the great contribution for introduction of microprocessor technique to the educational process.

From 1987 to 1997 year the department of physics was headed by the doctor of physical and mathematical sciences, professor Tcyaschenko Yurij Panteleimonovich, the known specialist in the field of oscillation spectroscopy of continuous mediums. Professor Tcyaschenko Yu.P. made the considerable contribution to development of scientific work of physics department, promoted the addition to department of qualified specialists and the graduating students of Kyiv state university.

In 1997 year the department of physics was consolidated at first with department of road-buildings materials and chemistry, and in 1997 year with the department of theoretical mechanics. From October 2000 year the physics department was restored as structural unit of university.

From 2000 year the physics department is headed by the doctor of physical and mathematical sciences, professor Gololobov Yurij Pavlovich, who past the road from assistant of department to its chief.

Department takes activity in educational process by reading the courses: "Physics", "Application physics", "Physical and chemical methods for investigation of building materials" and "Conceptions of modern nature knowledge". Since 2000 year department begins to prepare the post-graduate students in research direction: "Physics of semiconductors and dielectrics".

     Lecturers of Department:

Malysh Mykola Ivanovich – associate professor of physics department, candidate of physical and mathematical sciences; worked in university from 2001 year. The sphere of the scientific interests is connected with quantum electronics and nonlinear optics of semiconductors.

Ishchenko Ruslan Mykolajovich – associate professor of physics department, candidate of physical and mathematical sciences; worked in university from 2003 year. The sphere of the scientific interests is the X-ray emission spectroscopy of multi ionized atoms of solid state. In 2006 year defended dissertation "Features of the autoionization processes in L– and M– electronic shells of atoms of 3d– and 5d–elements", given on the receipt of scientific degree of candidate of physical and mathematical sciences on specialty "Physics of solid state".

Isaienko Galyna Leonidivna – senior lecturer of physics department; worked in university from 2003 year. After study in post graduate course of NTU worked on completion of candidate dissertation. The sphere of the scientific interests: physics of the phase structure transformations in the ferroelectric crystals with incommensurate phases.
