Students’ science

     At the university students are constantly engaged in different kinds of research activities.

     Participation in research helps broaden knowledge of the educational courses, to learn the latest scientific achievements, to get research skills and experience.

     Knowledge and outcomes of their independent research are used for preparation of course papers, master’s theses and diploma projects. More than one third of diploma projects use results of individual research. Some research is carried out at enterprises request and is defended directly at the enterprises.

     Students report on the results of their research at the annual scientific conferences of academic staff, graduates, students and researchers of the separate structural subdivisions of the university.

     The best students take part in a competition among the students of Kyiv higher education institutions in nominations "Social Sciences", "Natural Sciences", "Engineering" and "Humanities".

     In order to engage more students of the university in research work four student education and research centers have been established at the faculties:
     - "Motor Engineer";
     - " Road Engineer";
     - " Transport Management";
     - "Fundamental Problems of Transport".

     The main objective of the Centers is to teach students how to use methods and facilities for independent accomplishment of scientific and practical tasks; to obtain group work skills; to organize their research work; to use the results of their research work in educational process.

     The Centers work in touch with dean's offices and under their guidance.

     The evidence of the high level of students’ professional preparation is the fact that almost 80% of the teaching staff of the university is our graduates.
