     He was born on March, 31, 1957. After finishing Kyiv secondary school #16 he studied at the faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics at Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University. At the automobile faculty of Kyiv Automobile and Highway Institute which he finished in 1984 he studied automobiles and automobile industry.
     From 1978 to 1980 he did service.
     In 1984 he worked as a probationer-researcher at the Department of Automobiles at Kyiv Automobile and Highway Institute (now National Transportniversity)where he was engaged in research work in the field of special purpose vehicles intended for work in difficult specific conditions (snow, ice, water, bog etc.).
     From 1986 to 1990 he did a post-graduate course at KAHI. In 1992 he defended his candidate of science dissertation (specialty 05.05.03 "Automobiles and tractors") at Belarusian State Polytechnic Academy.
     From 1990 to 1993 he worked as a research fellow, a senior reseach fellow at KAHI research department.
     He combined research work with teaching. In 1990 he started to teach at the Department of Automobiles as an assistant and1994 he has been working as an associate professor. In 1996 he was granted a diploma of an associate professor.
     From 1992 to 1994 he worked part-time as a leading research fellow at the Ukrainian Research Institute of Standardization, Certification and Informatics, where he was engaged in working out State standards in the field of motor car construction and motor transport. He is a SÀÅ member.
     He supervises full-time and part-time post-graduate students. He is the author of 90 scientific works and certificates for inventions.
     His key research interests: efficient bus design and special purpose vehicles.
