The rector of National transport university, head of manufacture, repair and materials technology departmant, PhD in Technical Sciences, Professor, Honored worker of science and technics of Ukraine, Laureate of state prize of Ukraine in the field of science and technics, corresponding member of Academy of pedagogical sciences of Ukraine, Presedent of Transport Academy of Ukraine, awarded the order of "Merit" ІІ and ІІІ degrees.

     

     Was born on December, 19th, 1952 in city Snyatyn, Ivano-Frankivsk oblast in the family of teachers. In 1976 graduated summa cum laude mechanical faculty of Kiev civil aircraft engineers institute where was taken places from the post-graduate student, the assistant to the professor, the head of department, deputy to the rector of the university.

     From 2000 to 2002 held the position of the head of department “ High education of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine”. Was a member of the experts’ committee which worked out a bill of Ukraine "About High Education", Concepts of development of online education in Ukraine and others legislatively - statutory Acts in higher education sphere. Since 2003 - the rector of National Transport University and the head of manufacture, repair and materials technology department.

     The known expert in the area of machine science. The author and the co-author over 250 scientific works, in particular monographies: "Elastohydrodynamics: the theory and practice", "Lubricant processes in the conditions of a non-stationary friction"; study guides: "High education and Bolonsky process", "Tribotechnic and bases of cars reliability", "Lubricant action of oils in conditions of elastohydrodynamics greasing". The developer of a lot of new methods of increasing cars wear resistance and reliability.

     Serve internship in high educational institutions of Great Britain, USA and Canada. Fluent English.

     Awarded the order of “Merit” II and III degrees.

     Married. Has children – son and daughter.
